Top 25 Mario Strikers Charged Players from Era 1 (2007-2008)

This list is not my own list, though my list is incorporated into it. This is a combination of six lists written by six elites, made towards the end of the first era.

As a friend of bubbles I might be slightly biased in saying he deserves a spot up there for the oldies

This list was made by combining six lists by six different people. I did not add people who were only on one list. Bubbles was only on one list, and was thus not added. The only exception is Sothe, since while I was the only one to have him in a list, Bug mentioned he had forgotten to put him in my list, and without him there'd be only 24 people.

Who were the 6 people you consulted? This list is way too forgiving. You can remove at least half of the people you mentioned. A 'best of' list should be strict and have standards.

At the very minimum, they should have been excellent in offense and defense. They should have been cerebral and precise with their moves, masterful with their captains and sidekicks, sublime in their item usage.

- Offense and Defense is a must. They should be able to defend against all styles. Their offense must be deliberate, punishing, and demoralizing. Their defense must be unforgiving, forcing you to use every possession as if it was your lost. Goals must come at a premium against these players.

- Being the best at their individual captains should be considered, then enumerated accordingly. Waluigi was mastered by only a few in Gen 1.

Everyone else who used Waluigi (or another captain) was simply copying the best Waluigi users or YouTube videos. Most of your list were clones of those superior players. They were generic tricksters/shooters who were good at one thing, but flawed in other aspects e.g. item usage or defense.

- Item usage is one of the most important aspects of Strikers. Most of your list, and players in general till date, do not know how to use items properly. They don't know when to use them offensively or defensively. They don't know how to use them to their style of play.

Is the topic. As you mentioned on the chat, I like making lists haha, and I felt the most accurate measure of skill would be to combine everyone's lists instead of just posting my own. I understand the list is not 100% accurate. I definitely feel I was better than Fluxus, I feel Akuma should be higher, and that Maverick shouldn't be on the list period. However, I made the list the only way I knew how, since you and Arbok are the only ones still around from that time, and Arbok doesn't remember much.

Out of curiosity, what would your list be?

No Batman, HaLR, or WallyMe?
