| I stole the topic name from 2K, but I thought it's rather fitting for this occasion.
My sister was one of the few people who knew about my participation in the MSC community. The other day she walked in on me playing and asked, "WHY ARE YOU STILL PLAYING THIS GAME?" I answered with a "'Cause it's a fun game." But after she left, I really did wonder, why am I still playing this game? Why are any of us still playing it? I was done with the MSC community and was happily not playing anything, but I ended up finding STR1KR and... I started playing again. Sucked into it. During the summer I became involved in the MKW community and I still keep in touch with some of my friends and they've all moved on apparently, yet I couldn't. Although I love the game, there are more important things for me to do and I need to stop. I'm don't want to explicitly say I "quit" because that's dumb and maybe I can play again one day, but for now I'm putting the game away and locking it in the Hyperbolic Space-Time Chamber. Shadow says he's quitting too and although I don't know the validity of that statement, I hope that my leaving isn't an incentive for anyone else to leave. The community is still strong. One member gone isn't much at all. I hope this gives "closure" to some of the people who were looking for it. I hope ya'll do good in the beatdown and in the future. Hopefully I don't come back to STR1KR.COM and find that the domain is non-existent. Foil plans. Play MSC.

| man fuck this game. Youre legit bringing a tear to my eye man. Were the fucking old breed. How many core dedicated players like us have been with the community this long? Not many man. But look I can completely see where youre coming from and I 100% understand. I think we have all been there a little bit.
but even if you dont play msc dude, please stay in contact with us. Like, ive known you for over 5 years. Yea weve never met and yea its doubtful we ever will. But I like to think that in some weird fucked up way that we are friends.
Maybe thats why some of us older kids play msc. Its the only thing that keeps our friendships together. I personally cannot keep up the recent msc activity that I have had for like the last month. But I'm still gonna chill on the chat sometimes late at night in my dorm room when im tired of bullshitting with real life people all day and I just wanna chill with some of the cool as fuck dudes ive met through this game.
Shoutouts to the people who I truly consider friends eventhough we have never met:
Yukioh
Treesus
Zmazh
Coheed&Cambria
Julien
Berble
Tangy
Miles
Arbok
Zizou
Wise
Colygrim
Sothe
Melbester
YD
You are all cool as fuck people. And regardless of what happens to msc I hope we can still talk and chill sometimes. But I agree with yuki that I need to put some more emphasis on real life stuff and give msc a break. This doesnt mean im quitting msc or leaving the chat, in fact i'll probably still hit up the chat a lot cus u guys are fucking cool but as i said more priority on real life shit. | |

| Well that sucks that you will be leaving us. It was a pleasure seeing you again Yukioh. You were always a great guy to hang around with. Well I hope to see you soon, when you are able to comeback and chat with us. As for Shadow, means a lot man, best buds as always. I used to be in this situation where I needed to focus on irl shit, but I've been able to figure out my way of balancing things out. If you guys really need to take a break, then by all means go right ahead. We won't forget you guys, we will try our best to get everyone else involved in the game, and I guess I shall do the same. Hopefully when the semester is over, I can advertise ranked during the break, and hopefully get more members to the site, and perhaps more older veterans. Your loss shall not be in vain. | |

| :'( Yuki, you've always been the guy that never gets riled up, no matter what. Like, I've never seen you lose your temper. You're always calm and collected, and you're also a great person. You've vastly improved, and I'll truly miss you. I understand the circumstances, and I wish you the best in future endeavors. Shadow, I'm glad you'll still hang around the chat even if you won't play much anymore. I met some incredible people back in 2007-2008, so I'm not going to try to compare you to them, but ever since I met you in bay you've been my best friend here. I love your sense of humor, it reminds me of mine haha. You're a genuinely funny guy, and I love talking with you, I might be feeling down IRL and I see you raging on some new mexican guy and it makes me lol. As for the older people playing MSC to keep their friendships together, I agree. In the past two years I've had physical problems. I haven't been able to spend much time with friends IRL, since I couldn't stand or even sit without my feet bleeding and stinging so much I couldn't concentrate on anything. When Jay told me about this site, I was happy to come back not only to play MSC, but to meet with the awesome people I met from Bay, and make new friends too. It's helped a lot with the loneliness I've felt in RL. My physical problems will be better soon, and then things will change. I'll try to get a job soon, hang out again with friends IRL, and probably be a lot busier. I can't say for sure what'll happen in terms of me being here then, but I'll say that I'll never forget a ton of the people here. I'm not gonna make a list like Shadows, since it'll be a couple months before anything will happen. Regardless, to both Yuki and Shadow, good luck in life! | |
