recently, in my scl week three match with yuki, i had a legitimate DAISY SELF PASS, where the ball did not touch any other character and daisy shot off her own z chip for the goal. yuki can support this statement. in addition, we all know that dry bones can self pass, and daisy and dry bones have two of the flattest chips in the game
sure, these are extremely rare occurrences and just luck. but it makes me wonder, can every player in the game self pass?
if daisy and dry bones can with their flat chips, then why not others? for slow characters, their chip speed and distance is proportional to their running speed. ie, the "catch up speed" of receiving self chips should be the same for say a dk as to a wally because dk will chip it slower.
the factor i will take into consideration is AERIAL RANGE. weve all seen it, ive just never heard it discussed. a character like a wally or a toad can clear a wider range of aerial balls from tricks than other characters. my new perspective on loose ball clears is that all characters have the same catch up speed but that some have far greater range than others.
this leads me to believe that it may be possible for all characters to self pass (but similar to a daisy or dry bones self pass, it may just be a 1 in a billion chance that will ALMOST NEVER be discovered).
please let me know what you think of this proposal
